⚠️ Amazon building new AI models

Amazon is working on new AI models to make Alexa more proactive and conversational to compete with OpenAI's ChatGPT.

Alexa already benefits from a large language model called Alexa Teacher Model, but Amazon is developing even larger and more generalized models.

Amazon's focus on improving Alexa is significant as the Devices & Services division, which includes Echo and Alexa, was impacted by Amazon's recent earnings report.

🫡 ChatGPT returns to Italy after ban

OpenAI has restored ChatGPT access in Italy after addressing concerns raised by the Italian Data Protection Authority (GPDP).

The GPDP accused ChatGPT of unlawfully collecting users' data and allowing underage users to access inappropriate content.

OpenAI made changes, including allowing EU users to remove personal data under GDPR and implementing an age verification tool for Italian users.

💬 Hugging Face releases its own version of ChatGPT

Hugging Face has released an open-source alternative to OpenAI's ChatGPT called HuggingChat, developed by Open Assistant, a project by LAION.

🖊️Microsoft Designer available in public preview
