Glasses that can read a person

Two students from Harvard just showed off a new system that uses Meta’s Ray-Ban smart glasses to let someone pull up personal info about people they don't even know, and it's raising some big privacy red flags.

AnhPhu Nguyen and Caine Ardayfio rigged these smart glasses with their own software, creating a tool they call I-XRAY.

This setup uses facial recognition, reverse image searches, and language models to dig up names, addresses, phone numbers, and more.

They took I-XRAY for a spin around Harvard's campus, and it worked—identifying random people and their personal details.

It's timely to note that Meta has said they might use data like images and videos uploaded to Meta AI for training, which only adds to the privacy concerns.

This demo is a real eye-opener about where privacy and surveillance are headed in the AI era.

If just a pair of students can whip this up with some smart glasses and common tools, imagine what big corporations or governments could do with more resources.

It's a bit of a wake-up call that we need to think carefully about these technologies and how they’re used.

Make your videos fun with Pika 1.5!

Pika 1.5, also known as "Pikaffect," is this cool update that lets you add all sorts of wild effects to your videos. Imagine making things in your video explode, melt down, or even inflate like a balloon.

It's all about making your videos stand out in a fun and super creative way.

They've also made everything look a lot smoother and more realistic. So if you're making a video of someone skateboarding or a bird flying, it's going to look really lifelike.

Plus, there are some new camera moves you can pull off that make your shots look like they're straight out of a Hollywood film, and you don't even need fancy equipment for it!

The platform itself has gotten a lot easier to use with this update.

They've made it simpler to navigate, and you can now make longer videos, which is great if you've got a bigger story to tell.

But, keep in mind, all these fancy new features mean it costs more to make each video. And if you're new to all this, there might be a bit of a learning curve as you figure out how to use all the new tools.

In short, Pika 1.5 is packed with features that can really dial up your video game, making it possible to create some truly unique and professional-looking videos.

Altera has launched an innovative AI agent that sets a new standard in how technology can interact and collaborate with humans.

Not only can this agent function independently for an impressive four hours, but it also has the capability to experience emotions, making it far more advanced than typical AI models.

This agent utilizes OpenAI’s GPT-4o, ensuring data remains robust and accurate throughout extended use.

It's built on a sophisticated, brain-like multi-module system that boosts its processing capabilities, enabling it to manage emotional responses and develop a continuous personal identity.

In real-world applications, such as in the game Minecraft, the performance of Altera’s agents is outstanding.

They have successfully collected 32% of all unique items available in the game, significantly surpassing competitors like Voyager, which collected 6.4%, AutoGPT at 1.9%, and React at just 0.5%.

This showcases not only their efficiency but also their superior ability to operate in complex environments, demonstrating a significant technological advancement in AI interactions
