Microsoft on Tuesday announced a new artificial intelligence subscription service for Microsoft 365.

Adding on the generative AI subscription should reportedly cost enterprise users an additional 50% or more per month.

The updates come as the race to offer consumer-driven generative AI tools heats up among tech giants such as Microsoft, Google, IBM and more.

Meta has announced that its new Llama 2 AI model will be freely available for public use.

This move is expected to spur competition in the AI space, but also raises concerns about misuse by malicious actors.

Critics argue that open-sourced AI models could lead to the technology being misused, as seen when Meta's first Llama model was leaked and used for various applications.

Despite these concerns, Meta believes that open-sourcing Llama 2 will drive innovation and improve safety and security by allowing more people to scrutinize and fix potential issues.

SEC Chair Gary Gensler has emphasized the need for regulatory changes concerning AI, warning it could heighten financial instability.

He called AI "the most transformative technology of our time" and urged companies to ensure their AI usage complies with securities rules and doesn't mislead investors about AI's risks and opportunities.

The SEC is reportedly considering new rules on these issues this fall. This comes as the FTC investigates ChatGPT for potential impacts on consumer data privacy, indicating increasing regulation in the AI sector.

Wix CEO shared his thoughts on AI's past, present, and future. Wix has been integrating AI since 2016 with its Artificial Design Intelligence (ADI) website generator.

The company continues to leverage AI to enhance its offerings, including the AI Text Creator, which uses OpenAI’s ChatGPT to generate high-quality content.

CEO also highlighted upcoming AI-powered capabilities and tools for image editing, layout redesign, and eCommerce optimization.

He believes AI will significantly transform Wix and the website-building experience.
